Handy has teamed up with GEM Merchandising for a new display concept going through Dobbies Garden Centres this spring. GEM is no stranger to the DIY and Gardening market, with over 30 years of experience and knowledge under their belt - they're the perfect company to complete the task in such a short time frame.
Gareth Edwards, Managing Director at GEM Merchandising said: “Our objective is to help Handy drive increased footfall through Dobbies Garden centres, by making it easier for customers to purchase products while providing clear product messaging at every point.
All products are clearly labelled by POS (point-of-sale) displays next to the shelves and on garden machinery, so customers can make an informed decision on what they want before they buy. Gareth continued: We're really pleased to be partnering with Handy on this project and can't wait to see the impact”.
The new lay-flat area has been designed in such a way that stock will be instantly available and laid out in a logical order. The newest addition to the showroom space is the new wall displays and includes a simplified selection of both cordless and handheld devices - providing customers with instant access to the products they need.
“We are confident the new displays will really help us achieve the desired results in Dobbies Garden Centres exclaimed Mark Moseley, Handy's Sales and Marketing Director. We must ensure our customers such as Dobbies present a strong presence in this category. It is important to us that we maintain a premium look and feel so that we can uphold Dobbie's reputation for the presentation of brands. Though it is early days yet in this project, what has been done so far has shown an increase in sales which is all thanks to the hard work by the Dobbies Buying team, Handy and GEM".
