Variation

Handy Distribution (“the Company”) will enter into a contract for the supply of goods and/or services bound by these terms and conditions, which shall prevail not withstanding any others accepted as a custom of trade or incorporated in any order by the purchaser (whether written or oral and irrespective of dates). Unless a variation of these terms and conditions is accepted and signed by a director of Handy Distribution. 

Order Deadline

A. Orders must be received before 4pm for next day delivery. 

Delivery

A. Machines & Gardena Watering have a minimum carriage paid order value of £150 nett or a £7.95 delivery charge will apply. 
B. Spare parts and Pre-pack parts have a minimum carriage paid order value of £35 or a £5.50 delivery charge will apply.
C. Delivery shortages, damages or any mis-delivery of goods of any kind must be notified in writing within 48hrs of the delivery. 

Payment Terms

A. Unless otherwise stated on the invoice, all invoices are payable on the 21st of the month following invoice. 
B. Overdue accounts will be surcharged by a monthly 2.5%.
C. All credit accounts settled by credit card are subject to a 2% surcharge.

Machines with Missing Parts

Should your machine be missing any parts please contact us or fax 01793-834461 with details of any missing parts so that we can resolve any issue promptly.

Retention of Title Clause

The title in goods supplied remains the property of G J HANDY & CO LTD until payment is received in full. Additionally, the Seller reserves the right of entry to the Buyer’s premises for the purpose of repossession of any goods supplied at any time where a balance remains outstanding or any other sum owing by the Buyer to the Seller has not been paid.

This clause to stand in the event of Bankruptcy, Winding-up resolution, or the appointment of a Receiver or Liquidator.

Returns Policy

A faulty machine must be referred to an approved service dealer or the manufacturer’s own warranty service system to enable the fault to be diagnosed and to determine if the fault is that of the machine or misuse under the terms of the manufacturer’s warranty. If there is a valid warranty claim they will carry out the repairs under warranty. If the warranty is invalid, they will advise the customer of this and the cost to repair the machine.

If you need to return a machine to Handy you must submit a request by fax (01793-834461) or fill our returns form.

Please quote the Handy product code, date of purchase and full details of the fault. These requirements also apply if you use your own format of credit request or debit note.

Just stating ‘faulty’ is not acceptable. Please detail any faults so that the manufacturers can be made aware of any problems, particularly if there is any question of safety. 

Returned goods will only be accepted for credit if they are genuinely faulty or not fit for the purpose for which they were intended.

HANDY will try to be as helpful as possible and appreciates your co-operation in providing full details of any fault.

Claims for machines that are not faulty and are returned to us for no valid reason may be rejected.

Provided that the criteria detailed above have been satisfied the faulty items will be collected as soon as practical by our van or our carrier. Machines must be drained of all fluids and boxed securely for uplift.

Our drivers are not allowed to collect returns without prior authorisation from the Sales Office.

No returns will be credited, or debit notes accepted, if the Returns Policy has not been followed.
